When you are bored of your normal breakfast of eggs, bread,butter ,milk! Here what you can do with them!
Just make this simple bread pudding for your breakfast! and you will relish it as much as I did this sunday!
The aroma of cinnamon makes you crave it more!
Cooking time: 15 minutes Preparation time: 5-10 mins
Serves – 2
Ingredients you need
- 4 slices of sandwich bread
- 1 big cup of milk
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Vanilla essence
- Baking powder 1 teaspoon.
- 1 tea spoon of butter
- Cinnamon n nutmeg powder (1/2 teaspoon each)
- some raisins or other nuts as you like!
Directions :
Preheat the oven for 180 Degree C for 10 minutes while you are cutting bread and preparation mixture.
In the milk add baking powder, sugar, vanilla, eggs, cinnamon and nutmeg powder . Cut the bread into small pieces( I used brown bread)
Place the bread pieces in baking tray greased with butter .
Mix well the milk with all ingredients into smooth mixture and pour it over the bread crumbs.
Add some raisins or chopped nuts and push them a bit into bread crumbs. Bake it for 12-15 minutes at 240 Degree Celsius,
Check in between if it is cooked or not, depends from oven to oven, some are slow and some are too fast to heat up.
Check if top of pudding is not getting burnt.A bit brown is enough, you will have it crunchy on top and soft in between .Enjoy!
