A simple yet yummy dinner idea is Pasta with red sauce, I am sure everyone does it in his /her own way.I keep playing with toppings and veggies which you can add to it as per your choice and their availability in your refrigerator. This time I added some olives and minced meat.
Presenting you a simple recipe from our kitchen.
Preparation time – 15 minutes Cooking time :25-30 minutes
Serves-2 Hungry people
250 g spaghetti, or half packet
1/2 medium onion, thinly chopped
2 garlic clove, crushed
1 cup tomato puree
1 tablespoon tomato paste concentrate,
100 gm ground meat
Canned Olives 7-8 chopped,
1 big tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano ,
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley/persil
Salt, pepper as per your taste.
50-60 gm mixed cheese ( from any super market )
Parmesan cheese for dressing
Some chopped cilantro.
Boil Spaghetti according to instructions on the packet, strain and keep aside.
Heat olive oil in pan , add garlic first followed by onion and sauté until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in tomato sauce, both puree and concentrate until oil come up .
Add minced meat, and cook until you see meat is cooked .
Add chopped olive,salt, pepper , dried parsley, dried oregano and paprika powder if you like a bit hot , and continue cooking 1 minute.
Add chopped cilantro and a little water if sauce is too thick.
Now add spaghetti to sauce. ( You can keep it separate as well, and put sauce and cheese on top of spaghetti)
I like to cook it in sauce a bit, it absorbs the sauce and more over the spaghetti gets a bit cold while kept aside.
Toss pasta with sauce and add cheese over it, few drops of olive oil for flavour
Sprinkle remaining Parmesan over pasta.
